Hi friends!
This week, my inspo for Boom cards totally consumed all things. Honestly, I was looking into it on Monday but didn't really dive in to it, especially after realizing that I'd have to purchase a membership since I'm a die hard creator and lets be real, that's what I wanted to do with this amazing software-- create things for my future classroom and my future students while student teaching. Tuesday night, I was scrolling through Instagram and actually even posted a poll on on a Facebook page that I'm apart of and asked teachers what was in high demand on Teachers Pay Teachers. My final semester of classroom coursework at the University of North Dakota is wrapping up this week and I already know this summer I really want to bulk up my Teachers Pay Teachers store and start putting together an amazing portfolio that displays my excitement and passion for education and students is seriously like a burning fire. Anyways-- in result of my poll on Facebook, I realized that maybe I should dive a little deeper and reconsider my quickly dismissed idea of Boom cards. Nonetheless, Tuesday evening I was up until 1 AM creating Boom cards...
I AM ADDICTED! So not only did I stop at just jumping into the membership, I also figured that since Teachers Pay Teachers is having a sale right now for Teacher Appreciation Week, I needed Amanda Newsome's Font Bundle from @APerfectBlendTeaching. This has been the second best addiction that I started for myself this week, only I cannot get the font to download on my parent's computer... I'm home until early next week and I forgot my laptop... So not only was I not able to download and try out this new, amazing font bundle, I can't even feed into my addiction of Boom cards as I don't have my laptop with Keynote on it... #TeamMacbook #TeamApple sigh...
Here are some snippets of the cards I created. I wanted to focus on measuring. Like I said, I'm addicted and can't wait to create Boom cards for phonics and spelling... My teacher brain isn't even running a million miles a minute, it's running a million miles a second.
